I have been working in the Funeral Industry for about 2 years now mostly doing website managment and business end of things. But, along the way I have learned many valuable lessons about the funeral industry that I had never known.

One thing that I learned is that it does not matter where you have a pre-need made because you have the right to transfer service to any Dallas Funeral Home that your desire. I know that there are a lot of people that would like to move the funeral service to a local funeral home, or a funeral home with a better reputation, but they feel like they are stuck because of the pre-need that was purchased, but that is just not the case. You have the legal right to transfer that pre-need wherever you wish.

If you are looking for a funeral home try to pick a funeral home that has genuine people that really care about the families they serve. I know now there are a lot of major corp’s out there that own funeral home, but they don’t spend time with the families, and I have even seen them make families move out of the chapel because they had exceeded their time limit. To me this is one of the hardest times a family will have to go through, so compassion is a must.
